A two-player game that is easy to learn and fun to play!

A beautiful handmade set. The board is cypress wood and the pieces are hand-carved from thick maple branches.

Each individual piece is unique. There will always be slight variations in each and every one we make. Varying wood grains, knots, sizes and carvings will be different from one piece to another.

Tafl (Old Norse for Table) games were extremely popular with Vikings. There were numerous variants, however "Hnefatafl" became the preferred option in Scandinavia by the end of the Viking age. Hnefatafl playing pieces have been found in numerous Viking burials.
