A two-player game that is easy to learn and fun to play!

A beautiful handmade set. Each individual playing piece is hand carved out of ox bone and the large wooden (mango) playing board is 1" thick and weighs over 5 lbs. by itself.

Tafl (Old Norse for Table) games were extremely popular with Vikings. There were numerous variants, however "Hnefatafl" became the preferred option in Scandinavia by the end of the Viking age. Hnefatafl playing pieces have been found in numerous Viking burials.

Heavily carved playing board made of mango wood.
Hand carved playing pieces made of ox bone (Viking attackers, defenders and a king)
