A Note About Our "Viking Gnomes": While the modern garden gnome was not part of Viking Age culture, Scandinavian folklore is filled with supernatural beings, including vættir (spirits or wights) and the later nisse and tomte traditions associated with homes and farmsteads. We call these handmade figures "Viking Gnomes" because that's the name our local artist has used for her creations for many years. They're whimsical, Viking-inspired works of art, not intended as historical reproductions.
Each of our "Viking Gnomes" is individually handmade by a talented local artisan and friend of ours. Standing approximately 11.5" tall, every gnome is completely unique, with his own name, personality, clothing, and Viking-inspired details.
Choose your favorite by name from the available gnomes. Each may carry an axe, shield, hammer, or other accessories, and because they are handmade, no two are exactly alike. The gnome pictured for each name is the actual gnome you will receive.
