Torcs
Also known as torques or neck rings, torcs have been worn as early as the Iron Age. Based on archaeological findings, torcs were originally popular with the Romans and then became very popular again during the Viking age with both the Norse and Celtic people. One historic account (written in the 10th century) stated that Vikings wore torcs as a sign of their wealth.
