While some consider a four-leaf clover as a good-luck charm, it is the three-leaf clover that is a true Irish symbol. The popular shamrock symbol was originally associated with the Celtic goddess Ana (or Anu) and St. Patrick also used the symbol to promote the Holy Trinity.
