Ravens / Love Birds Coffee Mug | Two Sided Norse Mythology / Viking Mugs
Odin, one of the most powerful gods in Norse mythology, had two ravens named Huginn ("thought") and Muninn ("memory" or "mind"). These ravens would fly across the world each day, gathering information and bringing it back to Odin. This made them symbols of wisdom, knowledge, and foresight. Their close relationship with Odin emphasized the role ravens played in Viking mythology and religious beliefs.
Ravens were also often seen on (Viking) battlefields, feeding on the bodies of the fallen. Vikings viewed ravens as signs of Odin's presence and approval in battle. The appearance of ravens during or after a fight would be seen as a good omen, signaling victory or Odin's watchful eye.
