Known as the 'Discovery of America' stamps. These canvas prints are an enlargement of two actual stamps that were printed by the government of the Faroe Islands in 1992. The top stamp represents 'Leivur Eriksson' (Leif Erikson) discovering America around 1000 AD, whereas the bottom stamp is a reminder that Columus "discovery" was not until nearly 500 years later.
